Wilde Consultants Strengthens Liverpool Team with Key Appointment

Wilde Consultants has bolstered its Liverpool-based civil and structural engineering teams with two key appointments of experienced Chartered Engineers. Kenton Chong joins as Associate Director for the Highway & Rail Structures division, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous role at National Highways (formerly Highways England).

Paul Sweetman has been appointed Associate Director for the Building Structures team, following a successful tenure at SWF Consultants.

Paul is a familiar name in the Merseyside region, having played a pivotal role in landmark projects such as Aintree Hospital and the Merseytravel Headquarters. In addition to his new role at Wilde, Paul will continue contributing to academia as a Visiting Professor at the University of Liverpool’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Wilde Consultants, an established engineering firm with offices in Stockport, London, and Liverpool, employs over 130 professionals. The firm is currently working with Network Rail, local authorities, and private sector clients on a range of high-profile projects. These include the Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone spine road, multiple cycling and walking improvement schemes and Cheadle Eco Business Park.
