We are seeking an experienced NEC Site Supervisor in the Lancashire area for a minimum 12-month secondment.

The role will involve supervising town centre regeneration and local highway improvement schemes, including levelling up and better streets funded projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in accordance with the NEC contract. The successful candidate will also mentor and support other Site Supervisors within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake the duties of the NEC Supervisor in accordance with the relevant NEC contract.
  • Supervise contractors on site, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards and programme.
  • Carry out site inspections, identify defects and monitor health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and key issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records and prepare progress reports.
  • Support the management of contractual matters, including compensation events where required.
  • Mentor and support other Site Supervisors, promoting best practice across the team.

Essential requirements

  • Experience supervising highway and transportation projects for Local Authority clients.
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts and the role of the Supervisor.
  • Experience supervising contractors and verifying completed works.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering public realm, town centre regeneration or highway improvement schemes is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant NEC contract training and/or professional qualifications
  • Knowledge of CDM, health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Appropriate CSCS Card, SMSTS/SSSTS or NEBOSH qualification.
