Bedford Gardens

Modernisation of a large property in Notting Hill.

Modernisation of a large property in Notting Hill. Complete refurbishment of building interior. New basement structure under the entire property including the garden and mews house. Design to allow work above ground and below ground to progress at the same time.

The modernisation project, carried out by our engineering consultancy in London, aimed to transform the outdated property into a contemporary, functional living space that met the needs of the client. To achieve this, we carried out a full interior refurbishment, including the installation of new electrical and plumbing systems, heating and ventilation systems, and high-end finishes such as flooring, lighting and kitchen fittings. The project also involved the creation of a new basement structure, which was designed to provide additional living space and a seamless connection between the main property and the garden and mews house.

To minimise disruption and ensure the project was completed within the desired timeframe, we employed a concurrent construction approach that allowed work to take place both above ground and below ground simultaneously. As a leading engineering consultancy based in London, our team utilised their extensive experience and technical expertise to meticulously plan and coordinate the various trades involved in the project. Despite the challenges posed by working in an urban environment, our London-based engineering consultancy was able to successfully complete the project on time and to the satisfaction of the client.
