Windle Island Junction – Open for Business

Wilde are delighted to have been invited to the official opening of Windle Island Junction Improvement in St.Helens.

The junction forms the intersection of the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and A570 (Rainford Bypass). The junction provides significant safety improvements and reduces congestion as well as being a key feature in the region’s plans for improved economic growth.

Wilde provided the design element for the project in collaboration with main contractor Balfour Beatty. The £3.5m improvement scheme was funded through the Liverpool City Region Growth Deal.
