We are seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to work on a range of major and complex highways and transportation schemes from construction to handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team. 
  • Ensure that all construction activities are performed in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on site activities and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety records.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports. 
  • Ensure that all site activities comply with the contractual terms and conditions.
  • Assist in the management of change orders, compensation events, and other contractual issues.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills, capable of fostering a collaborative environment and engaging with stakeholders across various levels including the public.
  • Experience of working on local authority schemes in Greater Manchester 
  • Supervision of contractors on site and verification of valuations for completed works.  
  • Experience of working on highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walk/cycle schemes is essential. 
  • Experience of working across multiple projects (up to five at any one time) simultaneously with construction values ranging from £100k to £5m is desirable. 

Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Relevant NEC contract and / or professional qualifications would be advantageous. 
  • Awareness of project and financial management, capable of inputting into project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls effectively.
  • Knowledgeable in CDM, health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring all projects comply with legal standards and best practices. 
  • Driving Licence and business insurance. 
  • Appropriate level of CSCS Card or NEBOSH.
