Opportunity: Highway Planned Maintenance – Technical Support Officer

We are seeking to appoint a Technical Support Officer with highway experience (preferred, not essential).

The Technical Support Officer will assist with the planning and project management of a range of footway and carriageway maintenance schemes from patching to full reconstruction works. The role will be embedded within our clients’ Network Assets team based in Stockport.

As the Technical Support Officer, you will need to have a good knowledge of GIS systems and be familiar with construction practices. However, training and support on IT systems will be provided where necessary.

The workstreams will be principally (but not exclusively):

  • Checking the estimates and accuracy of contractor accounts before payment in Confirm and SAP.
  • Raising work permits via GMRAPS.
  • Monitoring of scheme budgets.
  • General Office duties.

The required working patterns are office and site-based five (5) days per week Mon – Fri, 37 hour per week, 08:00 – 16:00hrs.
