- Wind assessment was undertaken using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), developing models from source CAD geometry provided by our client.
- Twelve wind conditions were analysed, applying site-specific data on the statistical distribution of speed and direction.
- Pedestrian comfort and safety was assessed as safe with regard to Lawson Criteria.
- The CFD analysis highlighted a comfort issue in one area of the design. From these results, Wilde made recommendations for measures to mitigate wind impacts and further improve conditions.
